This blog is written for students by students. Our weekly blogger is responsible for the blog posts, which are then edited by our proof reader. We hope you enjoy reading about our experiences in 4th grade Technology!
Teamwork by Nava
One group is making a dog obstacle course for their Sphero. Some things that they learned were that duck tape and cardboard don't always work. Also, you have to work together for everything to work well. Another group is making a restaurant out of Legos. Some things they learned were how to code and building with legos. They also learned how to use design skills so when their restaurant fell apart they can put it back together. One group is making a racing game for Sphero. Some things they've learned is don't fool around or you have to do it last minute. They are making great progress!
Cool Ideas in Technology by Spencer
We have a lot of cool ideas we are doing in technology class and what we are programming. Let me tell you about a couple of them. Two kids are trying to make a Cybertruck with a technology tool called littleBits. A Cybertruck is a Tesla-like car prototype. A LittleBit is a circuit that can move. Another tool is Sphero. You can make cool obstacles for the Sphero robot to go through. Also, two students are making a movie studio and ticket booth and other cool stuff. They are making this out of Lego robotics. Another group is using robots that are called Dash and Dot. They program a robot to do what they want them to do and they will do it. Dot is a circular robot that can light different colors and can make noises. As you can see our ideas are really cool!

Having Fun with Robots by Lauren
Fun robots by Liam
Robot Building in Tech Class by Luana
We are making robots with different materials like Sphero, Dash and Dot, and lots more! We can use whatever we need to program or make something for our robot to use. It's up to our group to make something that will make the robot be awesome!
Our Robotics Projects Rock!
Check out the fun we had while learning drag and drop programming and designing creative activities:
Light It Up with littleBits by Ashtyn, Jordan and Sierra
Dental Patient with Hummingbird Robotics Kit by Dillon, Emily and Falyn
Dot and Dash in Their Home by Blake, Davis, and Cameron
Noah's Ark with Lego Robotics by Marisa, Jacob, and Dylan
Soccer Game with Referee with Scratch and Makey Makey by Hailey, Jeremy and Layla
Combo Course for Sphero with Aidan, Jared, and Sam

Dazzled by These Presentations!
This is our first round of tech exploratory projects and they are impressive! We put a lot of thought into our presentation skills, in addition to our actual projects. We loved learning and growing together. Check out what we have made (so far):
Movable Gymnast with littleBits Rube Goldberg Machine Style
Sphero as a Pig Going Home
Soccer Kicker with Hummingbird Robotics
Pacman made with Scratch and Makey Makey
A Ticket Booth and Ferris Wheel with Lego Robotics
Dot and Dash with Blockly
