Lego Paradise by Aaron, Devin, and Drew

My group is working on a Lego Claw machine. The part where we have to cut the cardboard is pretty hard for us. Some thing easy to do is making the prizes. My group is leaning to do Lego robotics. We are making a claw machine with the robotics.

Presentation Day, Round One!

We learned A LOT working on our first round of technology projects! We each received a rubric so we would know the expectations. These were harder to meet than we expected but we now know our areas of growth. We designed our robots first, built them, and then learned to program them. It was like learning an entirely new language. Most importantly, it was fun! We discovered how to improve our communication skills by working together in a group. We compromised quite often and learned how to be better listeners. We also learned how to manage our time since we knew our presentation date from the beginning. We had to pace ourselves. We are proud to share our work. We hope you enjoy our projects:

Dot and Dash with Sharla, Ari, and Ethan

New Bird Species with Lego Robotics with Brett and Lauren

Firefighters with Dot and Dash and Alina, Josh, and Taylor

Turtle Robot with Ruby, Gabi, and Levi

Sphero Obstacle Course Around the Room with Myers, Rafa, and Joshua

Snake Robotics with Gavin and Danny

Sphero Obstacle Course with Carly, Chloe and Cade

Working Hard! By Carly

This week in technolegy we are finishing up our projects. We are working very hard hoping our projects will work! My group is a mix of very talented people. We have a lot of differences but in the end , our project is turning out great. Some groups are very unique and creative and  artistic and I bet all of our projects will turn out so much fun!My group has sphero and we are doing a fun little obstacle course where our sphero turns and twists all through out it!

Hummingbird Robotics

Our students made some original bots with the Hummingbird robotics kit. They share their programming secrets, their inspiration and what they learned. We hope you enjoy!

This week we are doing a new technology robotics project. My group is working with Dot and Dash  robotics. We are building and programming with Dot and Dash to make four scenes for an interactive play. Last time my group had Sphero, and Mrs. Brown added another technology tool called Lego robotics. The Lego robotics group is building and programming a bicycle. Other groups are creating with the Hummingbird robotics kit, Dot and Dash and Sphero. My group has had some problems with building but we figured it out after awhile.

Presentation Day!

We completed our first round of programming and robotics projects! We are excited to share them. We definitely learned that without failure, we don't reach success. We had lots of failure and much success. We learned about perseverance, practice, and patience. We are proud to share our projects with you. We will continue to add to the video library below as we complete our presentations. While many of us would have loved more time to finish all the bells and whistles, we are looking forward to our next opportunity to program:
