A Crane and A Crocodile with Lego Robotics, Then Our Own Creation by Emmitt

My partner and I are working with Lego Robotics. First, we are building a crane and a crocodile that can open its mouth. We are building from the book so that we can learn how to program and use the sensors. Then, we are going to make our own creation from our own imaginations. Some ideas that we are considering include a ferris wheel, a car, or a T.V. Finally, we will present our project and explain how we made it.

First Presentation Day of the 2018-19 School Year!

Today is our first round of presentations for our Technology Exploratory where we are learning how to create robots, build their accessories, and how to program them using mostly drag and drop programming languages. We have been working in our design teams to create some amazing projects. We will upload them as we complete them. Enjoy:

Dot and Dash Obstacle Course by Remy

Today all of the groups are programming. We are presenting tomorrow. My group is working with Dot and Dash. We are making an obstacle course. Creating the obstacle course was the hardest part. We used a slingshot to make it shoot into a basketball hoop. Dash has to shoot three balls and then he has to go around three cones. At the end Dash goes through the finish line. I can't wait to see the finished product!

4th Grade Tech Is The Best by Dillon

Right now our class is working on making robots. My group is working on making a robot that can floss. With a material called littleBits. Other people are working on Lego robotics and Dot and Dash. Some groups are programming with Hummingbird robotics. I think that everybody in this class is having lots of fun.

Floss Like a Boss by Daniel

Today we are making a flossing dog with my group. We are building it out of cardboard and then we are going to make its arms move with littleBits to look like it is flossing. We are hoping we can finish it in time (insert dramatic music here: dooo dooo dooo). We have six class periods total so we made a timeline for ourselves. Once we finish, I hope the class photographer could maybe take a picture and we can post it. We want to share our project with the world so other viewers can see our hard work. 

Binary Bracelets by Alanna

Today we are making bracelets with beads but, we are using the binary codes and different colors. We are also doing the binary code with our initials. It is so much fun! We learned that in binary most of the time you only need the numbers 1 and 0. Binary numbers allow computers to store and transmit data. Making bracelets is so much fun!
